Markers
Markers can be placed anytime whether you are recording or playing back or in Standby mode.

Here is how it works. Pressing the M key on the computer keyboard leaves a marker in the timeline above the wave form window. (See yellow markers in the graphic above.) At the same time a small window pops up. This is a note window. If you type in it regarding the point you're marking, the window stays open until you are finished. If you want a blank mark with no note, don't type anything and the window auto-closes in 3 seconds and VoxPro is ready for the next marker. After the first notation a floating window appears (See above.) that lists where on the time line the mark is and the first few words of your note. At any time you can go to a note and double click on it to go to the marked place in the recording (except while recording) or you can right click on it and 1. edit the note 2. delete the note or 3. start play from the mark. In addition moving the cursor over the markers in the time line activates a rollover that brings up the first few words of the note. Markers remain for the life of the recording.

This is undoubtedly the coolest marking system anywhere. VoxPro markers are the answer for every user that's ever done an interview longer than a minute or recorded an entire ball game and wondered where in the heck something was in the recording.
